Too Much Black

Two source images are buried just beneath the surface of this print – pulled from a gelli plate onto rice paper in a moment of impulse. There was too much blank ink on Liz Awesome's roller, so all the colors and figures in the originals submerged into subtext. The story is there, but it's veiled.
The mystery reveals itself slowly, through careful observation and imagination. Like much of life, the truth lives beneath the surface. There's too much black to fully know – and maybe that's the point. Own this enigmatic print and let its secrets unfold over time.
20’ x 30’ on luxurious cotton-rag paper. Only 10 will ever be printed. $300.
